Cusseta‑Chattahoochee Commission adopts 2024 millage rate of 8.512 mills

The Unified Government of Cusseta‑Chattahoochee County adopted its 2024 millage rate at the Sept. 3 regular meeting, setting the county maintenance millage at 8.512 mills after applicable rollbacks.

Commissioner Jason Frost moved to adopt the millage, Commissioner Gerald Douglas seconded, and the board approved the measure by unanimous vote. The formal resolution provided the detailed millage calculation: a maintenance and operation figure of 23.57 mills with a local option sales tax rollback of 15.06 mills and an insurance premium tax rollback of 0 mills, yielding the net county millage of 8.512. The resolution lists a schools maintenance millage of 16.99 mills and a total ad valorem levy of 25.50 mills.

County Clerk Lisa Bickel was directed to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to the Tax Commissioner and to publish the levy as required by state law.
