Chairman James Tharpe said the Lunenburg County Planning Commission recommended approval on Nov. 2 of Conditional Use Permit 5‑23, allowing Parrish View Farms to operate an event venue at 2571 Dundas Road in Kenbridge. The property totals 73.06 acres in an A‑1 agricultural zone.
The public hearing on the application was held the previous month, so the Commission limited its action to reviewing proposed conditions read aloud by Clerk Taylor N. King and addressing a procedural question from Commissioner Garrett about Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) classification of the site entrance. Mrs. King said the classification reflected VDOT’s review of the application. Commissioner Trent moved to recommend approval with the proposed conditions; Commissioner Jennings seconded and the motion carried unanimously on a roll‑call vote.
The recommendation does not itself grant the permit; it forwards the Commission’s approval and recommended conditions for final action by the appropriate county authority. The Commission did not record additional public comments at the Nov. 2 meeting on this item.
The Planning Commission will include the proposed conditions in the packet forwarded with its recommendation.
