The Lunenburg County Planning Commission convened its Dec. 1, 2022, meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the second-floor courtroom of the Lunenburg Courts Building but adjourned at 7:02 p.m. because it did not have a quorum and the applicant for Conditional Use Permit 5-22, Starlight Banquet Hall, was not present.
Vice-Chairman Walter Thompson announced the adjournment after Clerk Taylor N. Newton completed a roll call listing Commissioners Pennington, Thompson and Trent as the only members present. Assistant County Attorney Drew DiStanislao was listed as attending. The minutes header notes the minutes were later approved as amended on Jan. 5, 2023.
Because the applicant for CUP 5-22 was absent, no presentation or public hearing on that permit took place. The commission recorded that the next meeting would be Jan. 5, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. in the same courtroom. The meeting was formally adjourned at 7:02 p.m.
The record shows no motions, votes, or substantive agenda action were taken at the Dec. 1 meeting due to the lack of quorum. Items requiring formal consideration will need to be rescheduled for a future meeting with sufficient membership present.
