Commissioners approve HAVA-funded security upgrades, TelePlus service agreement and Elect IT contract addenda

Fulton County approved a TelePlus keycard and camera installation funded by the 2024 HAVA Elections Security Grant ($3,000), a TelePlus extended service agreement ($14,040.56), and Elect IT contract addenda A–C for IT staffing, managed backup and cyber awareness services.
At the Dec. 9 meeting, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved security and IT contract measures aimed at election-office and county IT security.
Voter Registration/Election Director Linda Doyle presented options to use the 2024 HAVA Elections Security Grant for physical security upgrades. The board approved a TelePlus quote to install a keycard fob system on the Voter Registration/Election Office door and directed Rick Grissinger of Elect IT to install separate cameras above the Commissioners' Office and the Voter Registration/Election Office; the work was approved to be funded by the 2024 HAVA Elections Security Grant in the amount of $3,000.
Commissioners also approved a TelePlus Protection System Extended Service Agreement (Silver Maintenance Coverage Plan) for $14,040.56, effective Jan. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2026. Separately, the board approved Elect IT contract Addendum A (IT staffing and support services), Addendum B (managed backup services) and Addendum C (IT/cyber security awareness and phishing simulations) as presented by Nelson Witmer, President/CEO of Elect IT Solutions.
County staff will proceed with executing the service agreement and contract addenda and schedule the security camera and access-control installations funded by the HAVA grant.
