Fulton County commissioners unanimously adopted a 2026 tentative budget during their Nov. 25 meeting, with final adoption scheduled for Dec. 30, 2025. CFO Mike Lamb and Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed presented the budget to the board before Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved for adoption.
The tentative budget will now proceed through the county process toward final adoption on Dec. 30. The commissioners recorded the action as a formal adoption of the tentative plan rather than the final budget, leaving opportunities for adjustments before the December meeting.
The meeting packet and minutes list several other fiscal items approved that day, including payables totaling $674,010.68 and payroll dated Nov. 28, 2025 of $125,126.16 across multiple county funds. Commissioners recorded fund-level distributions in the payables motion, which include the General Fund, HSDF/HSBG, Evidence Based Practice, CDBG and Medical Assistance Transportation funds among others.
County officials said the tentative adoption is a step toward completing the 2026 budget process; the board set the final adoption for Dec. 30, 2025. No votes against or abstentions were recorded in the minutes — each motion related to the budget and related fiscal approvals is recorded as "All in favor."
