Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved Feb. 10 that Fulton County move forward with distribution of hotel–motel tax revenue "according to legal advice/recommendation," and the board approved the motion unanimously.
The matter was discussed earlier in the meeting with Interim County Treasurer Amy Bishop, Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed and CFO Mike Lamb of Wessel & Co., who joined by Zoom to review options and legal considerations. The minutes note the discussion but do not record a dollar amount or a distribution formula.
Commissioners did not state additional implementation details at the meeting; the motion as recorded directs the county to proceed in line with legal counsel and the fiscal recommendation presented. No ordinance or statutory citation was recorded in the minutes.
