Commissioners approve routine reports, payroll ratifications and several vehicle and liquor exemptions

At its Sept. 13 meeting the Buffalo County Board approved meeting minutes and payroll ratifications, accepted financial and fee reports, certified inventory statements, approved employee flu shots, and approved motor vehicle tax exemptions and special liquor licenses.
The Buffalo County Board of Commissioners handled routine administrative business and several license and exemption items during its Sept. 13 meeting.
Commissioners approved the Aug. 23 meeting minutes and ratified payroll claims processed Aug. 26 and Sept. 9 by roll call vote. The board accepted the Buffalo County Treasurer’s August 2022 Fund Balance Report, the Clerk of District Court August 2022 Fee Report, and the July 2022 Community Action Partnership of Mid‑Nebraska RYDE Report. The board also certified fiscal year 2021–2022 inventory statements filed by county officials; those statements will be kept on file with County Clerk Janice I. Giffin.
The board approved payment for flu shots for all county employees, with availability scheduled for Sept. 29, 2022. Under the Board of Equalization, the commissioners approved Tax List Corrections Nos. 4897–4898 and approved motor vehicle tax exemptions for RYDE Transit (Community Action Partnership of Mid‑Nebraska) and the American National Red Cross; one commissioner abstained on the RYDE vehicle exemption. The board also approved Special Designated Liquor Licenses for events at The Farm in Shelton, Iain Nicolson Audubon Center in Gibbon, and George Spencer Vineyard in Gibbon.
All actions on consent and administrative items were adopted by roll call vote and are recorded in the minutes; supporting documents are filed with the County Clerk.
