Buffalo County approves routine business: minutes, payroll, appointments and vendor claims

The Buffalo County Board of Commissioners handled a number of routine administrative items during its June 28 meeting.
The Board approved the June 14 meeting minutes (moved by Timothy Higgins, seconded by Myron Kouba) with one abstention by Commissioner Bill Maendele. It ratified payroll claims processed June 17, accepted the May 2022 Community Action Partnership of Mid‑Nebraska RYDE report, reappointed Tim Moninger to the Veterans Service Committee and reappointed Kathy English as the county representative on the City of Kearney Advisory Board of Park and Recreation. The Board also approved a Letter of Agreement with Region 3 Behavioral Health Services covering July 1, 2022–June 30, 2024, and authorized the Chairman to sign the Interlocal Agreement with Educational Service Unit No. 10 for IT support for the 2022–2023 fiscal year.
The Board approved The Print Shop to supply postcards for Property Tax Request Act public hearing notices, noting Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO) will coordinate printing. The Board also approved the submitted June 2022 vendor claims (detailed vendor list and amounts recorded in the minutes).
All routine motions were carried by roll‑call votes of present commissioners; Commissioners Higgins and Morrow were noted absent on some items. The minutes list vendor names and amounts but do not aggregate a single total in the narrative.
