Kingfisher County commissioners table decision on 2026 asphalt overlay bids for Districts 1 and 3

The Kingfisher County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 12 unanimously voted to table award of Bid #8-25-26 โ the 2026 asphalt overlay project for Districts 1 and 3 โ so staff can review bid tabulations and prepare comparative materials. Commissioner Jeff Moss made the motion to table and Commissioner Anthony Schwarz seconded; the motion passed with Moss, Chairman Mike Sparks and Schwarz voting yes.
The clerk read the submitted bid totals for the combined work in Dist. 1 (Cashion) and Dist. 3 (Loyal). The lowest combined bid listed was Atlas Paving Co. at $3,565,530.50. Other combined totals read into the record included TJ Campbell $3,723,808.10; Haskell Lemon $3,781,922.37; Silver Star Construction $3,833,268.67; Schwarz Paving Co. $4,109,076.73; Rudy Construction $4,272,761.50; and Ellsworth Construction $4,691,814.82.
The board did not take an award vote at the meeting and directed staff to complete tabulations for later consideration. The matter remains pending; the clerk did not specify a date for returning the item to the agenda.
