Kingfisher County commissioners unanimously approve claims, grant applications and bid notice

KINGFISHER COUNTY, Okla. — The Kingfisher County Board of County Commissioners met Dec. 15 and, in a brief session, moved to approve a series of financial and procurement items affecting county operations.
Chairman Jeff Moss called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. The agenda included an extensive list of claims and purchase orders across county funds. Commissioners voted to approve the listed claims and purchase orders; the transcript records a unanimous vote (Moss-Yes, Sparks-Yes, Schwarz-Yes). Notable line items listed on the claims docket included Zyzer for $137,006.23 and multiple Road/Highway charges from Ranger Ron Construction (line items up to $204,840.00). For road maintenance, Chairman Moss moved and Commissioner Sparks seconded a motion to approve a Notice to Bidders (Bid#8-25-26) for labor and materials necessary for an asphalt overlay for Districts 1 and 3; the motion passed with all votes recorded in favor.
The commissioners also voted to table designation of the county's representative to the Central Oklahoma Workforce Development Area (COWDA) so they could obtain additional information about the board's responsibilities. A motion by Moss to approve the Dec. 8 minutes, the current agenda, and the listed purchase orders, warrants and payroll for FY24-25 and FY25-26 passed unanimously.
