The Greer County Board of Commissioners approved routine administrative items and payments during its Jan. 12, 2026 meeting.
Brent York moved to approve the minutes from the Jan. 5, 2026 regular meeting; Steven Fite seconded the motion. The board recorded roll-call votes as York — aye; Mark Barnes — aye; Fite — aye, and the motion carried.
The commissioners voted to accept two financial filings from the Greer County Sheriff’s Office: the 2025 Calendar Year Board of Prisoners Financial Report and the 2025 Calendar Year Commissary Financial Report. Both motions passed on roll-call votes of York — aye; Barnes — aye; Fite — aye.
The board also approved a P‑Card payment for December 2025 to Bank of America in the amount of $1,257.33 after a motion by Steven Fite and a second by Brent York. In the same motion cycle the commission approved a large batch of purchase orders and claims for various county departments; the minutes list vendors and invoice amounts across County Clerk, General, Health, Highway, RM&P and Sheriff funds.
The minutes record that all routine payment and claims motions passed unanimously (three ayes).
