The Greer County Board of County Commissioners convened Dec. 1, 2025, and handled a series of routine administrative and financial actions, recording unanimous votes on each motion.
The board approved the Nov. 24, 2025 regular meeting minutes and the November 2025 publication minutes. Commissioners approved County Officers and Agents monthly reports covering the County Clerk (Nov. 2025), Health Department (Nov. 2025), Court Clerk (Oct. 2025), Treasurer (Nov. 2025) and Sheriff (Oct. 2025).
The board voted to approve purchase orders and reimbursement of claims across funds. The minutes list multiple vendors and amounts; notable items include a REAP disbursement to Dana Safety Supply, Inc. for $13,937.23; City of Mangum charges of $3,963.30 and $844.12; US Postmaster $1,560.00; a payment to Steven J. McMahan $1,381.10; and Summit Utilities (CenterPoint Energy) $723.08. The board approved the Greer County Election Board Secretary payroll reimbursement claim.
On finance motions, Steven Fite moved and Mark Barnes seconded approval of the allocation of the alcoholic beverage tax and the allocation of motor vehicle tax; both allocations passed unanimously. The board also approved appropriations and voted to request the Excise Board to appropriate funds.
Other items on the agenda generated no action: the board did not take action on a scheduled meeting with OSU Extension Coordinator Cheryl Lively, nor on a proposed 80-bed Law Enforcement Center. The board recessed the meeting at 10:19 a.m.
Motions were documented in the minutes with roll-call-style confirmations: "York-aye; Barnes-aye; Fite-aye. All were in favor, motion carried."
