Greer County commissioners reappoint 911 board member, approve purchase orders and payroll; no action on proposed 80‑bed law enforcement center

The board unanimously approved minutes from a Nov. 15, 2025 special meeting after a motion by Vice‑Chair Mark Barnes and a second from Commissioner Steven Fite. York, Barnes and Fite each recorded an "aye" vote on the motion.
The commissioners unanimously reappointed Dirk Hamon to the Greer County 911 Trust Authority Board. Commissioner Steven Fite moved the reappointment and Mark Barnes seconded; the roll call vote was York‑aye, Barnes‑aye, Fite‑aye.
The board approved purchase orders for payment and reimbursement of claims, including a REAP disbursement and an invoice to Dana Safety Supply, Inc. for $13,937.25. Mark Barnes moved to approve the P.O.s and reimbursements; Steven Fite seconded and the motion carried on a unanimous vote. Commissioners also approved the issuance of blanket purchase orders and approved payroll during the session; each action passed unanimously following motions and seconds by Barnes and Fite in varying order.
