Grant County commissioners unanimously approve routine purchases, highway expenditures and reimbursements

The Grant County Board of Commissioners met Dec. 1, 2025, in Medford and voted unanimously on a slate of routine fiscal and operational items, including transfers of appropriations, multiple purchase orders and travel claims, a consulting invoice and reimbursements to county offices. The meeting began at 9:00 a.m. and adjourned at 9:06 a.m.
On a motion by Commissioner Keith McClure, seconded by Commissioner Steve Stinson, the board approved a Transfer of Appropriations. The commissioners recorded unanimous aye votes from Chair Craig Fredrick, Stinson and McClure. The board then approved Blanket Purchase Orders and a batch of Purchase Orders and Travel Claims covering several county departments. Notable line items included a $21,731.51 payment to the Oklahoma State Department of Health, $35,840.16 to Dub Ross Company Inc. for highway work, $14,908.87 to Farmers Grain for fuel, and $19,946.77 to Burbank Materials for rock. Smaller vendor payments for supplies and services across general, health, highway and rural fire accounts were also approved.
The board approved the minutes from the Nov. 24, 2025 regular meeting. Commissioners then approved Invoice #1-52-4-2 from Pinnacle Consulting Management for Project EW over Osage Creek in the amount of $3,500.00 and granted Permit #10-2025 for Kay Electric in District 1. The board also approved reimbursement requests for the Election Board Secretary for November 2025 ($3,375.00) and for the District Attorney for November 2025 ($313.59). Each of the motions was moved and seconded and passed by unanimous vote.
During brief departmental updates, McClure said District 1 crews were grading after recent weather and hauling rock as part of normal maintenance; Stinson said District 3 was short-staffed through the end of the year and working to keep up on road projects; and Fredrick said District 2 crews were moving rock, shale and mowing. With no new business the board adjourned at 9:06 a.m.
The meeting record notes that notice and agenda were posted at the Grant County Courthouse entrances in compliance with the Open Meeting Act and Title 25, Sections 301–314 of the Oklahoma Statutes. County Clerk Rachelle D. McCaleb attested to the minutes.
