Grant County commissioners approve routine bids, invoices and policies in unanimous votes

Craig A. Fredrick, chair of the Grant County Board of Commissioners, presided over the board’s Nov. 10, 2025, meeting where commissioners approved a bundle of routine county business.
The board voted unanimously to award the Grant County fuel bid to Farmers Grain after Commissioner Keith McClure moved for the award and Commissioner Steve Stinson seconded. Fredrick, Stinson and McClure recorded aye votes on the motion.
Commissioner Steve Stinson moved to approve blanket purchase orders; Commissioner McClure seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board then approved a detailed set of purchase orders and travel claims covering multiple county funds (General, Highway, 911, Health, Fair Board, Rural Fire), with line items that included highway rock purchases (Dolese) and recurring vendor payments to entities such as ODOT/Comptroller, RCB Bank and Amazon Capital Services.
The commissioners also approved several standalone items by unanimous votes: the Nov. 6, 2025 meeting minutes; an AirMed invoice for $4,725.00 covering 63 employees; a bridge inspection invoice and Report of Conference for Bridge # LG-2449C; and Circuit Engineering District Auction Policies for FY 2025–26. The board approved Resolution 2025‑206 accepting a $1,000 donation from Neal Jones for Jefferson Road maintenance (District 2).
All motions recorded identical roll-call tallies when votes were recorded: Fredrick — aye; Stinson — aye; McClure — aye.
Why it matters: These approvals clear routine payments and contracts that allow county operations to continue — from ambulance coverage and highway supplies to equipment procurement — and formalize acceptance of a small private donation targeted to a local road.
