Each motion passed unanimously; the recorded AYES were S.C. Alsop; J.L. Simpkins; M.R. Berry; M.H. Norman; C.R. Billups.
Ms. Billups moved and Ms. Alsop seconded the appropriation of the May 2024 revenue in the amount of $879,048.43 to the School Division; the Board then approved the first-quarter transfer of $138,306 to the School Food Services fund on a motion by Ms. Norman and second by Mr. Berry. These financial actions were recorded as subject to audit. No additional conditions or allocations were specified at the meeting.
Dr. Carol Carter, School Superintendent, also used the public comment portion of the meeting to present a plaque and read a resolution honoring former Newtown Supervisor Raymond Alsop; she delivered the plaque to his daughter, Newtown Supervisor Sherrin Alsop.
