Bedford County approves Children & Youth Services vendor agreements and multiple personnel actions

The Bedford County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 13 approved purchase-of-service agreements between Children & Youth Services (CYS) and the county Juvenile Probation Office covering July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, and authorized contracts with a set of provider agencies.
Christopher Gresko, administrator for Bedford County Children & Youth Services, presented an overview of the programs and recommended continuing services. Commissioners approved contracts with the following listed providers: Bethany Home, Inc.; Youth Essential Services, LLC; Bethesda Children's Home (Lutheran Social Services d/b/a Bethesda Lutheran Services); Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center (Maternal Addiction Resource Center, MARC); Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers, LLC; and Valley Youth House.
The board also approved a personnel list submitted by department heads covering December/January 2025/2026. New hires included Melissa Bergman (assistant district attorney, start date 12/11/25), Amy Norris (full-time grant administrator, Planning, 1/5/26), Carrie Wiser-Borosky (LPN, jail, 1/5/26), several sheriff's office and corrections appointments, and others. Transfers and promotions and multiple separations were recorded, including the departure of the 911/EMS director (Alex Delia) and several corrections employees with separation dates in December 2025 and January 2026. The personnel actions were approved by motion.
The board approved the CYS agreements and personnel actions as presented; motions were made and seconded by Commissioners Winck and Baughman and recorded as approved by the board.
