Roosevelt County Assessor Stevin Floyd presented the property tax rates and the statutory timeframe for imposing them during the Sept. 10 commission meeting. Floyd briefed the commission on the rates and relevant statute and asked for formal approval to impose the rates for tax year 2024.
Commissioner Dennis Lopez moved to impose the rates as presented and Commissioner Rodney Savage seconded. The motion passed unanimously with a 5–0 roll-call vote. Commissioners did not amend the rates at the meeting and no additional discussion was recorded.
