Fulton County approves HR manual benefit changes and reclassifies Veterans Affairs director as full-time

Commissioners met with Mary Huston to review proposed changes to employee benefits and asked her to return with final language for formal adoption. Later in the meeting, a motion by Commissioner Steven L. Wible accepted Huston's proposal to amend Section 212. The record shows the board approved the change unanimously.
Separately, Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve that Richard Newman be designated as working a 30-hour equivalent week and therefore qualify as a full-time employee with benefits, citing additional duties assigned by the state related to the Disabled Veterans Real Estate Tax Exemption. The motion passed with all present voting in favor.
The minutes do not include the amended Section 212 text or an effective date for the benefits change; commissioners instructed Huston to bring back final language for official approval.
