Fulton County approves replacement of two 20-year-old dispatch clocks and regional support contract for EMA/911

FULTON COUNTY — Fulton County commissioners authorized emergency services upgrades on Dec. 23, approving replacement dispatch clocks and a regional support contract after hearing an update from EMA/911 Director Brian Barton.
Barton told the board the current dispatch clocks are more than 20 years old and “are in dire need of replacement.” He said the county's 'Pre Alert' system is in place and that the relevant information “has been sent out to the fire departments.” Barton also provided a brief rundown of recent trainings completed and those scheduled.
Following the briefing, Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve a quote from ComPros to supply and install two dispatch clocks, including hardware and installation, at a cost of $4,940.00; the motion was recorded as carried 'All in favor.'
Commissioner Hervey P. Hann then moved to approve the 2026 Mission Critical Partners Regional Support Contract for Professional Services; the minutes state the contract is fully grant funded and the motion carried 'All in favor.'
The board also approved a two-year Hazmat Team agreement with McCUTCHEON Enterprises, Inc., with payments of $2,500 for FY2026 and $7,500 for FY2027, which EMA/911 staff will implement alongside the newly approved regional support contract.
