Summary
At its Nov. 5 meeting the Camp Verde Town Council approved the consent agenda including an expanded BRIC roof project, awarded a prosecutorial services contract, authorized a tourism-marketing contract capped at $72,000 and approved a use permit for the marshal's evidence impound lot.
The Camp Verde Mayor and Common Council approved a series of routine and contract actions at their Nov. 5 regular session, including the ratification of additional work on the FY26 BRIC Roof Replacement Project and two contract awards.
On a unanimous 7-0 vote the council approved a manager-authorized expansion of the FY26 BRIC Roof Replacement Project to include reroofing the historic jail facility for a total project cost not to exceed $25,000. The approval came as part of the meeting's consent agenda, which also authorized an update to the Town's Finance Operations Guide to raise the minimum amount requiring comparative quotes from $10,000 to $20,000 and advanced a Request for Qualifications for defense attorney services.
Separately, the council voted 7-0 to award RFQ #25-217 to Carrie Montavon and authorized the Town Manager to enter into a contract for prosecutorial services. The motion followed the Town Manager's statement that the Town had received one RFQ submission and recommended awarding the contract to Montavon.
Councilors also authorized the Town Manager to enter into a contract with Axis Culture Group for tourism and economic development marketing professional services, not to exceed $72,000. Economic Development Specialist Crisi Clark told the council a scoring committee reviewed nine proposals and recommended Axis; representatives Joe Klein and McKenzie Oakly introduced the firm and its planned collaboration with staff and community members.
In land-use business the council approved Resolution 2025-1195, granting Use Permit #2025-0054 to expand the Camp Verde Marshal's Office evidence impound lot at 646 South 1st Street (APN 404-28-060B). Special Initiatives Manager Cliff Bryson presented the permit and Mayor Moore opened and closed the public hearing with no public speakers before the 7-0 approval.
The council set several upcoming meetings and the Town Clerk certified the minutes following adjournment at 8:51 p.m.
