Camp Verde accepts donation of Verde Lakes Community Park from local recreation corporation

Council thanked the Moody sisters and the recreation corporation for arranging the donation. Public commenters Deborah Moody and Donna Moody spoke about the park’s history and expressed support for the transfer.
Why it matters: The donation places Verde Lakes Community Park under Town ownership, which staff said will allow the Town to pursue grant funding and capital planning for future improvements and ongoing maintenance.
The Council approved Resolution 2025-1198 to accept the parcel transfers; staff noted opportunities for grant-funded improvements under town stewardship.
