The council unanimously adopted Ordinance No. 2199 (ZTA25-09), which amends the city's zoning ordinance procedures for newly annexed land, including rules for initial zoning classifications and a county-to-city zoning mapping in Table 3-9. Planning and Zoning Director Scott Stephens summarized the text amendment during a public hearing; there were no public objections and the council suspended rules to consider and adopt the ordinance immediately.
