During the April 15 meeting Clerk Mandi Park told commissioners she had missed placing the New Mexico Counties (NMC) representative nomination on the agenda but had sent notice to elected officials. Commissioner Tina Dixon and Treasurer Victoria Ramos nominated Commissioner Dixon; a ballot was sent to elected officials and Dixon was elected to serve the 2025—2027 term as Roosevelt County's NMC representative.
The commission also approved several contracts and application submissions:
- A Professional Services Agreement with Mental Health Resources, Inc. for services in the county DWI/Compliance Program; Compliance Coordinator Johanna Jiminez said MHR provides services not offered by Be Well NM and the county needs both contracts.
- A contract with Vigil Maldonado Detention Center in Raton for the housing of detainees (approved as part of detention-related items).
- FY26 Fire Protection Fund Distribution application submissions for the Arch Volunteer Fire District and the Milsnesand Volunteer Fire District; Manager Annette Kirk requested approval to submit the applications.
- An Operating and Use Agreement between Roosevelt County and La Casa de Buena Salud for insurance and facility use purposes; Manager Kirk said there were no substantive changes to the agreement.
All motions to approve the agreements and application submissions passed on recorded unanimous votes.
