Commission approves NMDOT time extensions, budget increase and indigent claims

Roosevelt County commissioners voted unanimously to approve several routine items on the agenda: time extensions for three New Mexico Department of Transportation Local Government Road Fund projects (Resolutions 2025-32, 2025-33 and 2025-34 for CAPS, COOP and SCHOOL BUS projects) and Resolution 2025-35 to increase the capital-expenditure budget for the purchase of a tractor by up to $100,000, depending on the selected option.
During an earlier indigent meeting the board approved three healthcare claims totaling $568.66 and denied the remaining claims recommended for denial totaling $17,613.89 (reasons cited included Medicaid coverage at time of service or lack of an application). The indigent-burial invoice referenced in the reports was paid by Wheeler Mortuary and that claim was closed.
All motions noted above carried on unanimous 5–0 votes.
