Carmen Pacheco-Munoz, interim CEO of La Casa, asked the commission to add Montano’s name to the facility. County Attorney Michael Garcia, participating via Zoom, said he saw no legal issue with the naming request. Commissioner Fabian Munoz moved to approve the naming and Commissioner Roy Lee Criswell seconded the motion; the board voted 5–0 in favor.
