The San Dieguito Union High School District Board of Trustees on Oct. 16 approved a batch of routine and fiscal items, including a memorandum of understanding with the district’s teachers’ association to increase the 2026 health care credit and two budget-related resolutions.
The board voted unanimously to approve the minutes from prior meetings and to adopt the meeting agenda. Trustees then approved the consent agenda, which included field trip and employee travel requests, certificated and classified personnel listings, purchase orders and agreements, school site School Plans for Student Achievement (SPSA), and other routine items.
In Human Resources, the board approved a memorandum of understanding between the San Dieguito Faculty Association and SDUHSD to increase the 2026 health care credit; the item was introduced by Mary Anne Nuskin and carried on a motion by Trustee Rimga Viskanta, seconded by Trustee Phan Anderson. In Business Services the board adopted Resolution R2025-2026/22 establishing the GANN appropriations limit for the year and Resolution R2025-2026/26 authorizing purchase of CTE metal and wood shop equipment without competitive bidding. All recorded motions passed with an affirmative vote from Trustees Jodie Williams, Rimga Viskanta, Michael Allman and Phan Anderson.
The board also adopted a resolution supporting National School Psychology Week (Nov. 3–7, 2025) after Student Board Representatives read the resolution aloud, and accepted the Williams Complaint Quarterly Report for July–September 2025, which the superintendent said included one complaint that had been received and resolved.
What the board decided next: several items approved at the meeting will move to implementation by district staff as usual (personnel listings take effect; contracts and purchase orders will proceed). The board did not take public votes on the facility-fee schedule changes at this meeting; staff said a fee schedule update is planned to take effect in January pending follow-up work.
