County Auditors Penny Kipp, Holly Falkosky and Rebecca Kendall presented the Fulton County Annual Audit Report for the year ended Dec. 31, 2024, and told the board they filed the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) report and published notice in the Fulton County News. The full audit report is available on the county website, the auditors said.
Mike Lamb of Wessel & Co. and Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed met with department heads and the commissioners for a final review of the proposed 2026 budget. Following that review, commissioners gave verbal approval for the final draft to be presented at next week's meeting for adoption of the tentative budget; formal adoption was not completed at the Nov. 18 meeting.
As part of routine fiscal approvals, the board also accepted an invoice from Wessel & Co. for October 2025 CFO services totaling $10,987.50. Commissioners approved routine payables at the meeting in the amount of $152,769.34, with a fund breakdown provided in the minutes and payroll for Nov. 14, 2025 for $124,586.59.
The auditors’ presentation and the budget review move the county toward the statutorily required public notice and tentative adoption steps; the board is scheduled to consider adoption of the tentative 2026 budget at its next meeting.
