Fulton County commissioners approve routine minutes, payables and multiple administrative actions; dismiss Domestic Relations employee

Fulton County commissioners approved a slate of routine administrative actions and personnel decisions at their Dec. 16 meeting, including minutes, payables, a personnel dismissal in the Domestic Relations office and recruitment for an Enforcement Officer 1.
Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve the Dec. 9, 2025 Commissioners' Meeting minutes and the Dec. 9 Retirement Board minutes; both motions were recorded as "All in favor." Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve payables dated Dec. 16, 2025 in the total amount of $281,921.91. The minutes list the General Fund total as $214,588.09 and include line-items for other funds such as Fund 238 (911) at $20,705.31 and Fund 276 (Opioid Settlement Funds) at $46,105.21.
The board met with Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress. Commissioner Hann moved to dismiss a Domestic Relations employee, effective Dec. 8, 2025; the motion carried unanimously. Hann also moved to authorize advertising for an "Enforcement Officer 1" position for the Domestic Relations Department, to be advertised internally and externally; that motion also passed unanimously.
Among other administrative approvals, Commissioner Wible moved to retroactively approve a Momentive Software, Inc. renewal order form for the Fiscal Department at an annual price of $1,660.48. Commissioner Bunch moved to approve and execute a request submitted by the Sheriff's Department for an inmate at the Bedford County Correctional Facility to receive physician services; both were approved.
Commissioner Bunch moved to appoint Thomas Peppernick to the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors for a four-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2027. Commissioner Hann moved to reappoint Margie McGuire (Contractor), Paula Shives (Member-at-Large), Thomas Morton (Elected Official) and Daniel Schriever (Member-at-Large) to two-year terms on the Fulton County Agricultural Land Preservation Board, also expiring Dec. 31, 2027. The board voted to approve the 2026 Commissioners' meeting dates for public advertisement.
The minutes record two executive sessions for personnel matters (9:36–9:38 a.m. and 10:52–11:30 a.m.). A DCED financial monitoring interview scheduled for 11:30 a.m. was cancelled; DCED asked to meet instead with SEDA COG and the Chief Clerk for the review. The meeting adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
