Camp Verde begins low-water fixture upgrades after EcoBlue audit estimating 600,000-gallon annual savings

Stormwater Specialist Patricia Mancini told the Town Council on Jan. 21 that an EcoBlue water audit identified opportunities to save as much as 600,000 gallons of water annually by installing low-water-use fixtures at town facilities. “The audit showed we could save up to 600,000 gallons a year through fixture upgrades,” Mancini said. She reported installation had begun and that staff anticipated project completion by Jan. 31, 2026.
Mancini introduced Caitlin Montano, a Water Planning Analyst with the Salt River Project, who described SRP’s partnership role and the utility’s broader goal to conserve 5 billion gallons of water through community partnerships by 2035. Town Manager Miranda Fisher and other staff said the upgrades come under the Town’s Growing Water Smart action plan and are intended to reduce operational water demand.
The presentation did not include a line-item cost for the fixture installations; Mancini described the work as already underway and identified SRP as a supporting partner. Council members thanked staff for the update and did not take any formal action during the meeting. The item will remain in staff project tracking for completion confirmation.
