The Camp Verde Mayor and Common Council on Feb. 4 approved a change to the town's Financial Operations Guide that lets the town waive its usual 30-day bidding requirement for urgent life, health or safety procurements, and immediately used that authority to award a contract not to exceed $63,100 for excavation, hauling and disposal of contaminated soil at the West Lagoon of the Town's Wastewater Treatment Plant.
