Benefits and contracts: The commission authorized changing the county retirement plan administrator from Corebridge to ACCG. The board also approved the annual DFACS lease renewal and the adoption of the Caselle online payment portal for county transactions.
Emergency communications and policies: Commissioners approved enrollment in the Georgia Emergency Management Agency’s (GEMA) Integrated Public Alert & Warning System (IPAWS). The board also approved an updated travel policy that adjusted mileage rates only; meal rates were unchanged.
Ordinance and public notices: The cemetery ordinance was read for a second time; no action was taken at that meeting. Commissioner remarks included reminders about upcoming comprehensive planning meetings and a transit participation note from Vice Chairman Biddle.
