The Cusseta–Chattahoochee County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 7 approved a string of administrative items, voting unanimously on appointments, contract renewals and facility repairs.
The board appointed Linda Englebert to the Cusseta–Chattahoochee County Library Board for a term beginning Jan. 7, 2025 and expiring Dec. 31, 2027. The motion was made by Commissioner Damon Hoyte and seconded by Commissioner Jason Frost.
Commissioners also renewed the county's zoning technical-assistance contract (planning and zoning services), approved a county attorney rate increase, and authorized replacement of two air-conditioning units on the McNaughton Street building. The board voted to purchase two 15-ton units from Archie's at $26,670 each, a lower quote than Fire & Ice's $27,500. Funding for the AC replacements will come from SPLOST.
All votes on these items were recorded as unanimous in the meeting minutes. County Manager Thomas Weaver and County Attorney A. Binford Minter were listed in the record as coordinating and documenting the items.
