Buffalo County approves multiple special-event liquor licenses, authorizes website video contract and hears public-health update

At its Aug. 22 meeting, the Buffalo County Board of Commissioners approved multiple Special Designated Liquor License applications for September events and authorized a contract for a website video addition.
Following review of the County Sheriff’s report, the board approved Special Designated Liquor License applications for The Alley Rose (event at Knobel Barn, Sept. 16), Ravenna Golf Club (Sept. 16), B&B Research and Investments LLC d/b/a The Village 1919 (event at The Farm, Sept. 16), and DeNiles Restaurant and Events (Knobel Barn event, Sept. 23). Each application was considered after the Sheriff’s report and was approved by recorded roll-call votes as reflected in the minutes.
The board also authorized Chairperson Ivan H. Klein to sign a CGI Digital video contract to add video to the Buffalo County website; the motion was moved by Bill Maendele and seconded by Sherry Morrow and carried unanimously.
In other business, Jeremy Eschliman, Health Director, and Aravind Menon, PhD, epidemiologist, presented the quarterly update from Two Rivers Public Health Department. The minutes record that the update was provided to the board; no formal action was taken on the presentation item.
The meeting minutes show the liquor-license approvals, the website contract authorization and the public-health briefing were recorded by roll call and are on file with the County Clerk.
