Board of Equalization approves permissive exemption for KPGRC, valuation change and a vehicle tax exemption renewal

The Buffalo County Board of Equalization met July 25 and approved several property and tax actions.
During a permissive exemption hearing, Jon Peppmuller, Chief Financial Officer of Bryan Health Kearney Regional, appeared regarding the application from KPGRC Property Group LLC. The Board approved permissive exemptions for parcels 580073000, 580073500 and 580073510 on a motion by Commissioner Bill Maendele, seconded by Commissioner Daniel Lynch; no public opposition was recorded.
County Assessor Roy Meusch submitted a valuation change for Salter Ventures, LLC (parcel 420092000). Commissioner Ronald Loeffelholz moved and Commissioner Timothy Higgins seconded approval of the valuation change; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also approved a motor vehicle tax exemption renewal for Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska for a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Commissioner Ronald Loeffelholz moved and Commissioner Daniel Lynch seconded the renewal; the motion carried with Commissioner Myron Kouba recorded as abstaining.
The Board of Equalization adjourned and the County Commissioners resumed their regular meeting.
