Chairperson Ivan H. Klein opened a public hearing at 9:17 a.m. on Aug. 8, 2023, for an administrative subdivision filed by Mitch Humphrey, a licensed land surveyor, on behalf of Harold D. Hubbard and Darla A. Hubbard. Mitch Humphrey reviewed the application; no members of the public spoke and the hearing was closed at 9:19 a.m.
The Board then moved to approve the Administrative Subdivision to be known as "Fausch Administrative Subdivision". "Moved by Maendele and seconded by Loeffelholz to approve the Administrative Subdivision to be known as 'Fausch Administrative Subdivision' with the following Resolution 2023-40," the minutes record. The motion passed unanimously.
Resolution 2023-40 records the Board's findings: the property is in the Agriculture (AG) zoning district, the remaining remnant parcel (Parcel ID 460074000) meets minimum lot-size requirements and is approximately 157 acres, the proposed plat fulfills Buffalo County's Subdivision Resolution requirements (Section 3.02), 115th Road abuts the subdivision and meets the county's minimum width standards, and a title search cleared county interests. The resolution authorizes the plat to be filed and recorded in the Buffalo County Register of Deeds.
Zoning Administrator Dennise Daniels presented a Special Use Permit Compliance Report elsewhere on the agenda and the Board later scheduled a separate public hearing to review a special use permit issued under Resolution 2022-49 for Sept. 12, 2023 at 9:15 a.m.
The Board's approval concludes the county-level review required for the administrative subdivision; recording of the plat is authorized by the resolution.
