Kearney, Neb. — The Buffalo County Board of Commissioners on April 25 approved the low bid of Simon Contractors for Project No. C10 (1423), Structure No. C001025925 — a replacement bridge on Navaho Road north of 370th Road over the South Loup River — for $2,333,000. Highway Superintendent John Maul presented the bidding results, and the board approved the contract by unanimous roll call vote.
The board also approved an Administrative Subdivision application filed by land surveyor Mitch Humphrey on behalf of Diane Carlson for property in the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 10 North, Range 16 West, granting approval under Resolution 2023-26 after a neighbor, Karen Nelson, spoke in favor of the plat during the public hearing.
