Auditors present 2024 report; commissioners prepare tentative 2026 budget and certify assessment roll

County auditors Penny Kipp, Holly Falkosky and Rebecca Kendall presented the Fulton County annual auditors' report for the year ending Dec. 31, 2024 and reported filing the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) report and publishing a notice in the Fulton County News. The auditors said the full report is available on the county website.
Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed and Mike Lamb of Wessel and Co. met with department heads and commissioners for a final budget review. Commissioners gave verbal approval to present the final draft of the 2026 budget at next week's meeting for adoption as a tentative budget.
Commissioners also approved the Board of Assessment and Revision of Taxes Certification for the assessment roll and total taxable assessment for Fulton County for tax year 2026, presented by Chief Tax Assessor Melissa Gordon in compliance with Purdon's 72 5453.701 (c) -5.
As part of routine financial housekeeping, the board approved a one‑year HART extended warranty for Verity Scan equipment ($2,700) and accepted an invoice from Wessel and Co. for October CFO services for $10,987.50.
