Resident raises drainage complaint; FOP seeks sponsorship; Extension Office reports 4‑H camp full

Tillison Bend resident Mike Erwin reported that a culvert placed about a year ago near Lonz has caused issues for neighbors. County Engineer Robert Nail told Erwin that because of the culvert’s proximity to the Coosa River crews could not achieve a stable foundation and planned to allow the installation to settle before placing asphalt; officials said paving should occur in the spring.
Representatives of the Gadsden Etowah Fraternal Order of Police Lodge, Wayne Ragan and Lane Keener, requested that the commission sponsor the lodge’s Annual Alabama FOP Convention set for April 10–12.
An Extension Office representative, Eric, said the 4‑H summer camp reached capacity in two weeks with 32 slots and listed upcoming extension trainings, including a Grape School, pesticide classes and a Wildlife Predator Control program.
These items were heard during the public comment portion of the meeting; no formal votes followed from the public comments themselves.
