Dale County Commission approves routine agenda items, personnel actions and SARCCA appointments

At its Jan. 27 meeting, the Dale County Commission approved routine agenda items and several personnel and appointment actions.
Commissioner Frankie Wilson moved to approve the agenda, the Jan. 13 minutes and memorandum of warrants (accounts payable checks 104406–104483; payroll check 155071; direct deposit 435299–435450); Commissioner Adam Enfinger seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The commission approved personnel actions including hiring Mason Lafferty for a new Maintenance Technician position, authorizing travel for Willie Worsham (EMA) to a Managing Flood Plan Development training in Montgomery from Feb. 17–20, 2026, and granting Ina Johnson 30 hours of administrative leave for workers’ compensation medical appointments. Commissioner Wilson moved the personnel package and Commissioner Donald O. Grantham seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The commission also approved appointments to the SARCCA board with terms beginning March 25, 2026: Sabra Branch, Bruce Grantham and Winston Jackson. Commissioner Grantham moved the appointment motion and Commissioner Wilson seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Chairman Steve McKinnon announced the next regular meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Commissioner Adam Enfinger moved to adjourn; Commissioner Grantham seconded and the meeting was adjourned by unanimous vote.
