Calhoun County Commission approves vehicle purchase, several contracts and bank signatories

The Calhoun County Commission unanimously approved multiple procurement and administrative resolutions at its Jan. 22 meeting, including a vehicle purchase for the Revenue Commission, several service contracts, an extension of a counseling services contract and a bank authorization naming county check signatories.

County Administrator Jonathan Gaddy presented the bids and resolutions. The commission awarded the Revenue Commission Chevrolet Tahoe purchase to Cooper Chevrolet GMC for $67,368.00, approved the Sheriff’s Office uniform footwear and boots bid to MAC Uniform, and awarded Interceptor Pump-Out Services to Wise Environmental at a rate of $850.00 bi-weekly with an additional $1,500.00 charge for extra service calls. Front-load and roll-off waste collection services were awarded to Meridian Waste. All actions passed by unanimous voice vote.

The commission also adopted a bank authorization resolution designating Administrator Jonathan Gaddy, Chief Financial Officer Melissia Wood and Chairman Lee Patterson as authorized signatories for county checks, effective Jan. 24, 2026. Separately, the body approved a one-year extension of the professional services contract with Jon Garlic, LPC, to continue counseling of prospective law-enforcement personnel, authorized a county agreement with ALDOT to maintain newly installed traffic signals at Anniston Beach Road and AL-21, and authorized ATIS Elevator Inspections, LLC to perform courthouse elevator inspections at a cost of $220.

All procurement and administrative resolutions were adopted unanimously by the four commissioners present, according to the minutes. The minutes note the relevant documents and resolutions are on file with the county.
