Buffalo County Board of Equalization approves tax corrections and motor-vehicle tax exemptions

The Buffalo County Board of Commissioners convened as the Board of Equalization on Jan. 10 and approved several assessment- and exemption-related items.
County Assessor Roy Meusch submitted Tax List Corrections numbered 4915 through 4928; the board approved the corrections on a motion by Commissioner Timothy Higgins, seconded by Commissioner Daniel Lynch.
The board also approved motor-vehicle tax exemption renewals. The Crane River Theater Company’s application for exemptions covering multiple cargo trailers and bumper-pull units was approved. The Salvation Army’s renewal for a 2006 Chevy Express Van and a 2019 Chevy Traverse was approved. The board approved an exemption renewal for CHI Health Good Samaritan covering a long list of ambulances, vans and pickups; the vote recorded Commissioner Maendele as abstaining while other members voted Aye, and the motion carried.
After completing equalization business, the board returned to regular session at 9:54 a.m.
