Board of Equalization approves valuation changes and renews motor-vehicle tax exemption

As the Board of Equalization, Buffalo County commissioners approved assessor-proposed valuation changes for several parcels—including listings for the City of Kearney Water Department and William Dibbern—and renewed a motor-vehicle tax exemption for Grace Fellowship, Inc., all by unanimous vote.
When the Board recessed to act as the Board of Equalization on Jan. 24, County Assessor Roy Meusch presented valuation changes the Board approved without dissent.
Commissioner Ronald Loeffelholz moved and Commissioner Sherry Morrow seconded approval of the assessor's valuation changes for listed parcels, including multiple entries for the City of Kearney Water Department and parcels listed to William Dibbern. The Board approved the changes on a roll-call vote with all seven members voting "Aye."
The board also approved a motor vehicle tax exemption renewal for Grace Fellowship, Inc. covering a 2003 Dodge van. That renewal motion was moved by Commissioner Bill Maendele and seconded by Commissioner Timothy Higgins and carried unanimously.
The Board of Equalization adjourned and returned to the regular meeting at 9:50 a.m.
