Buffalo County authorizes NDOT supplemental engineering agreement, sets gravel bid date and seasonal schedule change

The Buffalo County Board of Commissioners authorized a supplemental preliminary engineering services agreement with Alfred Benesch & Company for NDOT Project BRO-7467(1) (Poole South) and set several road-department actions at its Feb. 14 meeting.
By resolution (2023-04) the Board authorized Chairperson Ivan Klein to sign Supplemental Agreement No. 2 with Alfred Benesch & Company for the county's Local Public Agency project that will use federal funds (NDOT Project Number BRO-7467(1), control number 42844). The resolution states that Buffalo County will provide required local matching funds and that the county must comply with applicable federal, state and local regulations for the Federal-aid project. The motion to authorize the Chair was moved by Commissioner Daniel Lynch and seconded by Commissioner Ronald Loeffelholz and passed unanimously among members present.
The Board also set the bid date for Buffalo County's 2023 gravel contracts for Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023, for supplies and services to be effective April 1, 2023 through March 31, 2024. Separately, the Board approved changing the Highway Department's work schedule to four 10-hour days from March 6 through Nov. 3, 2023, reverting to five eight-hour days on Nov. 6, 2023; that motion passed on a roll-call vote.
