Buffalo County approves youth services plan and applies for FY2026 juvenile services aid grants

Buffalo County’s Board of Commissioners voted on Dec. 10 to approve the county’s Comprehensive Youth Services Plan and to pursue FY2026 Community-Based Juvenile Services Aid (CB and EB) grants.
County Juvenile Services Administrator Doug Kramer presented the plan and answered questions. The board authorized Chairperson Klein to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Sherman County related to the Juvenile Services Aid Program and authorized Administrator Kramer to submit the Community-Based Juvenile Services Aid grant application.
The motions passed by roll call vote with all commissioners voting "Aye." The actions direct staff to proceed with grant application and interlocal agreement steps described in the minutes.
