Zoning Administrator Dennise Daniels described the NDOT project and the board voted unanimously to authorize the county’s letter summarizing the proposed work.
Later in the meeting Highway Superintendent John Maul presented bids for county road and structure work. The board accepted the low bid from Saul Ramos Construction of Shelton, Neb., for Project No. C10 (1452) Structure No. C001001103P in the amount of $82,029.99, and accepted the low bid from Wilke Contracting of Kearney, Neb., for Project No. C10 (1013) Structure No. 19-004 in the amount of $110,766.40. Both motions passed by roll call vote.
The board also approved purchase of a 2025 770G motor grader from Murphy Tractor for $378,990.00 using the Nebraska State Bid. The motion passed unanimously.
The minutes list the contract awards and equipment purchase and authorize county staff to proceed with contracting and procurement under the accepted bids.
