Buffalo County sets Nov. 12 bid date for asphalt overlays and bridge rehab projects

Highway Superintendent John Maul presented project descriptions. Commissioner Bill Maendele moved and Commissioner Daniel Lynch seconded a motion to set the bid date for asphalt overlay projects including Project Nos. C10(1014), C10(1015) and C10(1016). The motion was approved by roll call. Separately, Commissioners Daniel Lynch and Myron Kouba moved and seconded to set the Nov. 12 bid date for two bridge rehabilitation projects (Project Nos. C10(1431) southeast of Kearney on Sweetwater Avenue and C10(1451) on Sodtown Road); that motion also passed by roll call.
The minutes list project identifiers and general locations but do not include engineer’s estimates, contract scopes or funding sources; those details will be provided in bid documents prior to the Nov. 12 bid opening.
The board’s action schedules procurement timelines for county road and bridge work; the clerk and highway department will publish bid packets and notice per procurement rules.
