Planning commission sets separate May 3 meeting for Randolph Solar; venue moved to high school

After deferring the Tall Pines Solar item, the Charlotte County Planning Commission on April 26 scheduled separate consideration of Randolph Solar for a May 3 special meeting and agreed to relocate that session to the Randolph-Henry High School Auditorium to accommodate public interest. Commissioner Miller Adams recommended the venue change and Cornell Goldman seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
Commission staff had recommended separate meetings for Tall Pines and Randolph Solar; commissioners agreed that the two projects should be heard independently. The Commission then formally deferred Randolph Solar review to the May 3 meeting at 7:00 p.m., pending school approval for the auditorium.
The May 3 meeting is intended to give adequate space for public attendance; the Commission emphasized it would continue following standard notification and review procedures.
