FULTON COUNTY — The Fulton County Board of Commissioners used its Jan. 27 meeting to approve routine financial and personnel matters, including accounts payable, a personnel hire, invoices and a grant report.
Commissioners approved accounts payable totaling $234,913.72, with $145,851.38 charged to the General Fund and other amounts allocated among several restricted funds. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve the payables; the motion carried.
The board approved hiring Amanda Sheffield as a Caseworker II in the Services for Children department, pending required clearances and paperwork, after Services for Children Director Christine McQuade and HR Administrator Mary Huston participated in the discussion. Separate Salary Board minutes were filed for the hire.
Other actions the board approved included: • Retroactive approval of the ERAP 2 County Expenditure Certification Form for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (motion by Commissioner Hann). • Approval of an Elect IT Solutions invoice for IT staffing and support for February 2026 (motion by Commissioner Bunch). • Approval and execution of the Election Integrity Grant Program Post‑Election Report for the 2025 municipal year showing total expenditures of $84,443.55 (motion by Commissioner Hann). • Approval of a county credit card for Mapping and Planning Director Thomas Peppernick (motion by Commissioner Hann), added after an agenda amendment. • Approval of an invoice for the Fulton County Tax Collectors Blanket Bond through Travelers for $3,313.00 (motion by Commissioner Bunch). • Approval of Companion Life Insurance renewal for Group Term Life and AD&D at the same 2025 rates, effective April 1, 2026 (motion by Commissioner Bunch).
