Buffalo County approves motor-vehicle and permissive exemptions; assessor plan accepted

At its June 25 session the Buffalo County Board of Commissioners approved multiple property-tax–related exemptions and accepted the County Assessor’s planning document for assessments.
County Treasurer Brenda Rohrich presented motor vehicle tax exemption renewals. The board approved an exemption renewal for Grace Fellowship covering several trailers and pickup trucks and approved South Central Behavioral Services, Inc.’s renewal covering multiple vehicles; both motions passed by roll call with members present voting Aye.
Chairperson Ivan H. Klein opened permissive exemption hearings for Heather Santiago, LLC (doing business as Kearney’s Village) and for the St. Teresa of Calcutta Newman Center. With no public comment, the board determined each application met the statutory rules for permissive exemption and approved both exemptions for the parcels cited in the applications.
County Assessor Roy Meusch presented his Three Year Assessment Plan. The board accepted the plan and the document will be placed on file with the County Clerk. The acceptance motion was recorded as unanimous among attending members.
